Laura Yates is program coordinator and transforming sustainability mission leader for the Byron Fellowship Educational Foundation. Laura is also Principal and Founder at Laura E Yates Consulting LLC, providing project-based support for public, private and non-profit environmental sustainability and community development initiatives. Laura graduated from Bentley University in 2013 with a BS in Economics and an LSM in Earth, Environment and Global Sustainability. Her undergraduate research experiences included cross-cultural communication and understanding, environmental economics, and sustainability in business. Laura Yates is currently a graduate student at Indiana University’s School of Public and Environmental Affairs working towards a Master of Science in Environmental Sciences (MSES) and a Master of Public Affairs (MPA), concentrating in Sustainable Development and Policy Analysis. Originally from Indianapolis, Laura spent seven years living in Switzerland, where she was inspired by the Swiss cultural and regulatory approach to community and the environment. In 2014, shortly after graduating from Bentley, Laura Yates started the Little Leaf Project: an experiment in sustainable, values-driven living involving design and constructing her own tiny house, where she currently resides.
