Laura Yates is Program Coordinator for the Byron Fellowship Educational Foundation, and a 2013 Byron Fellow.
As Principal at L E Yates Consulting, Laura provides project-based support for organizations with community, social, and environmental missions. Laura’s focus areas include sustainable community development, policy and program analysis, information system development, project management, and business administration. Laura holds a Master of Science in Environmental Sciences (MSES) and a Master of Public Affairs (MPA) from Indiana University’s School of Public and Environmental Affairs, as well as majors in Economics and Global Sustainability from Bentley University. Originally from Indiana, Laura spent seven years living in Switzerland, where she was inspired by the Swiss cultural and regulatory approach to community and the environment. In 2014, Laura started the Little Leaf Project: an experiment in sustainable, values-driven living involving design and constructing her own tiny house, where she resided throughout three years of graduate studies.
