Ohoud Wafi (she/her)Egypt — works at the intersection of poverty alleviation, gender justice, and community resilience. She serves as the founding Executive Director of the Elderly Care Fund under Egypt’s Ministry of Social Solidarity, a national institution advancing the rights and dignity of older Egyptians across social, economic, and health dimensions. She is also a board member of the National Council for Women, and continues to support the Haya Karima Foundation — which she co-founded — in a voluntary capacity. Grounded in an anthropological lens, Ohoud approaches vulnerability not as a technical problem to be managed, but as a lived experience shaped by culture, agency, and voice. Across her leadership, she is committed to building human-centered institutions that restore dignity, elevate women and youth as co-authors of their futures, and allow impact, ethics, and sustainability to move in coherence.
