Jacob “Jazz” Smith (any pronouns) — Denver, Colorado, USA — is a community cultural organizer, executive leader, and storyteller working at the intersection of youth culture, mobility justice, and collective care. They most recently served as Executive Director of National Organizations for Youth Safety, where they led national partnerships and convened the largest youth gathering focused on youth transportation equity. Jacob has been cultivating Black LGBTQIA+ leadership, imagination, and belonging as the founder of Denver Black Queer Collective and a recent Moonshot edVentures Fellow. Most recently, they founded Composing Youth Mobility where their leadership centers on creating conditions where everyday youth can move safely, imagine new possibilities, and author collective futures grounded in wholeness, interdependence, and the power of lived stories to shape new just systems.
