Chelsea is committed to fostering a world where reproductive rights are fundamental human rights, and all people have access to excellent healthcare. Her primary interests lie in increasing reproductive healthcare options here in the U.S. and increasing reproductive health autonomy and safety across the globe. Chelsea is a Connecticut-based nurse-midwife that works with practice that is committed to serving families across the state from all walks of life, meeting their reproductive health and primary care needs, including providing home birth services. Chelsea graduated from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN, in 2017 with her Master of Nursing degree where she focused on nurse-midwifery and global health. During her time at Vanderbilt, Chelsea served as the primary research coordinator for a study evaluating the impact of an innovative collaborative maternal healthcare model and as the as Co-Director for Shade Tree Early Pregnancy Program, a student-run prenatal clinic. Before beginning her Masters studies, Chelsea served as an AmeriCorps VISTA Fellow on an urban farm in Pittsburgh, PA, and held other various roles in non-profit development. Chelsea obtained a Bachelors in Sociology from the University of Vermont Honors College in 2011, where she focused on community and international development.
