Grace Amponsah is the Founder and Executive Director of Bowney Initiative, a registered Non-Profit organization whose mission is to support adolescent girls to reach their educational and career goals through mentorship, financial support and entrepreneurship . She holds a first class degree in Business Administration from Ashesi University and is a member of the MasterCard Foundation Scholars community 

Grace is a 2015 Dalai Lama Fellow and a 2016 Byron Fellow both global communities of social innovators co-creating a flourishing world. In 2017, Grace built the first library in Berekuso, which has been running for 2 years.

She is passionate about Women and Children’s rights, Girls Empowerment and Entrepreneurship. As such, she has served with various projects and organizations including but not limited to Leap Africa, Starfish Aid, On Foundation, Leading Ladies Network, TedxSpintexWomen and Power2Girls. In future, she hopes to build a consultancy that would transform start-up organizations into global companies  . At her free time, Grace loves to engage with friends over issues of interest including family life, which she believes is one of the major institutions that affect women greatly and define the state of our world
