Michaela is committed to creating a culture of irresistible healing, and finds great joy in nurturing the momentum of inner change for people and organizations. As Program Director for Byron Fellowship, Michaela cultivates connection and a sense of aliveness for emerging leaders, social entrepreneurs, and change-makers through Byron’s offerings, both in-person and virtual.

Michaela is a certified Deep Transformational Coach through the Center for Transformational Coaching, and also holds a master’s degree in Behavioral, Social, and Community Health (MPH) from Indiana University. She is the founder and technical advisor of Priyam Global, which aims to help international development efforts be more inclusive by centering the voices and experiences of mothers of children with disabilities. Priyam Global has been creating opportunities for mothers to support, empower, and learn from each other in Chennai, India since 2016.

Michaela worked as a community health consultant in the United States, Egypt, Uganda, and Haiti for several years before taking a hiatus to heal from physical burnout. After backpacking through South America and Mexico for a year and a half with her husband, Josh, she returned to the U.S. in early 2021 to give birth to their first child. A former Byron fellow (2015) and returning fellow mentor (2019), Michaela joined the Byron team in late 2021. She is currently based in Bloomington, Indiana and is the mother of Kai and Naroa.
