Vanessa is committed to creating change through art and facilitating safe spaces for young people, especially womxn. A poet and facilitator based in Lusaka, Zambia, Vanessa is the Co-founder and National Coordinator of Word Smash Poetry – a movement that encourages creative free expression among Southern African youth “artivists” and promotes social Pan Africanism. Motherhood and poetry make her feel most alive, and she finds joy in God, delicious food, and simply having fun.
