Yash Garje (he/him) is dedicated to transforming engineering education into an inclusive, interdisciplinary, and accessible space for all learners. Pursuing a Ph.D. at Purdue University, he is committed to designing informal education programs that integrate arts, humanities, and multiple intelligences into STEM learning, ensuring that students from diverse backgrounds feel welcomed and valued. His journey, shaped by personal experiences of feeling like an outsider in traditional engineering spaces, has led him to champion sense-making in STEM education through science communication and innovative pedagogy. Beyond academia, his passion for social impact extends to sustainable farming, waste management, and environmental advocacy, where he has led initiatives improving rural livelihoods in India. As a researcher and educator, Yash envisions a future where engineering education is not rigid but adaptable, human-centered, and empowering for all identities and talents.
