Janet Xiao

Janet Xiao (she/her) is committed to helping purpose-driven teams and organizations thrive through relational care, clarity, and authenticity. Janet serves as the Operations Director at the Initiative for Responsible Mining Assurance (IRMA), an equally-governed international standard and assurance system that seeks to transform how industrial-scale mining happens. Prior to IRMA, Janet co-founded the Community Empowerment Fund, which works to end the racial wealth gap by combining person-centered support with advocacy and financial access. At and beyond IRMA, Janet seeks to cultivate organizational cultures that sustain meaningful work and participatory stewardship.
