Mike Bekin

Mike Bekin (he/him) — United Kingdom & Brazil — is a sustainability entrepreneur and governance leader working at the intersection of forest stewardship, climate action, and business. Shaped by his upbringing in Brazil and by a lifelong relationship with nature, his work is grounded in responsibility, humility, and care for the living world, especially forests. He is the founder and CEO of Ecochoice Ltd and has held long-standing leadership roles within the Forest Stewardship Council, including serving as Vice Chair of FSC UK and leading the only two climate change motions ever approved by the FSC General Assembly. He mentors master’s students in entrepreneurship at the University of Cambridge and has recently set up Radicle, a traceability consultancy focused on deforestation risk. Across his work, Mike is committed to bridging the gap between environmental knowledge and action by helping people and institutions move from intention to care and impact.
